Join us for a fun, kid-friendly adventure celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the Burke-Gilman Trail “Hike-In”! Explore Matthews Beach Park while visiting four themed activity stations. At each station, you’ll learn a piece of Burke-Gilman Trail history and collect a special sticker. Once you collect all four stickers you’ll earn a special hiking-themed PRIZE!*

⭐ Activity Stations:
Railroad Tracks. Walk on the make-believe railroad tracks and discover how the Burke-Gilman Trail began.
Advocate. Raise your voice, just like the neighbors did in 1971!
Hiking. Meet The Mountaineers— an organization involved with involved with the 1971 “Hike-In.” Learn about hiking footwear and best practices.
Bicycling. Visit Cascade Bicycling Club, an organization involved with the 1971 “Hike-In.” Learn about bicycling and trail etiquette.

Activity runs 10am-12pm, and 1pm-2pm. Pick up a hiking map at your first station and visit the stations in any order. Total walking distance is 0.3 miles, all within Matthews Beach Park. Children must be accompanied by their parent/guardian.
